Being a manager at the local mail delivery service on Saturday for 5 years I’ve seen what it means to operate in a team and what it takes to build one. Its give and take, plan and change, act and guide. Its about willingness, strictness, honesty and flexibility. Its about getting people to like the job, but not overloading them so they wont.
Managing people is the most rewarding job, when done right. It’s the most difficult one, when done sloppy.
